Rodmakers in Switzerland

 Kurt Zumbrunn   Kurt Zumbrunn, the rodmaker from the eastern Berner Oberland, is building rods with semiparabolic to fast action, which allow due to a special taper a very delicate presentation. Inventor of the unique 13 stripes split cane rod. His wife designs the incomparably beautiful rodwindings and the handmade reel seats. He owns a lodge for fishermen at the Reichenbach near Meiringen. Fish with him in his beautiful little creek at the Sustenpass or let guide you to catch nice fish in the young Aare river or other mountain waters near Meiringen.

  Rolf Frischknecht is a well known Author in flyfishig magazines. He's making very exclusive rods, thereby prefering longer rods with fast actions. These entirely handmade rods are designed to fish bigger waters. As a guide, he can show you how to fish the Doubs (Jura Mountains) and other waters throughout the Swiss midlands and the alps. In autumn and winter, he will show you how to get the beautiful grayling in the Aare near Berne.
